Digital Accessibility

This youth-led research is the result of the work of young researchers from Denmark, Norway, Palestine, Peru, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe, who were engaged in building evidence-based insights into how COVID-19 affected them, their peers, and their organisations. This research report was be used as evidence to create Policy Papers to help make governmental change to improve e-learning accessibility.

In the E-mpACT Policy Paper, we provide 5 key suggestions for the European Union and other institutions to use as guidance to improve their policies concerning inclusive education through digitalisation. This policy paper was created by 18 young people from 8 IFM-SEI partner organisations during the summer of 2024 in Lima, Peru. For 6 days they were trained in advocacy and digitalisation, and collaboratively wrote the policy paper using the data and findings from the E-mpACT research report.
Children's Rights and Participation

This handbook has been created for educators to support children in asking for their rights to be respected. You will find a brief introduction to children’s rights and, more specifically, to participation rights, and then we will explain why child participation is so meaningful. After this first part, we will focus on how children can advocate for their rights and how you can support them in doing so.

Children on the Move is a handbook to work with displaced/migrant kids on emotional well-being. The authors are medical doctors.
It is clear that the mental health of young migrants is affected by different experiences related to violence, terror and the social determinants of health that are affected by uprooting. For this reason, we want to provide tools to people, especially young people, that relate to migrant populations.
Youth Engagement

The Journey of Youth Leadership toolkit shows what it means to be a good leader in a socialist youth organisation through portraits of participants, quotes, as well as reflections and training materials. The project targeted existing governance bodies of youth organisations, as well as young people aged 18-25 who are interested in taking on leadership positions.

The Good Governance Guidelines were created by young people for young people who are actively participating and are taking on leading positions in their organisations. They were designed with current organisational structures in mind to foster the inclusion of more young people in their processes, and to give them spaces and opportunities to feel empowered.

The On The Move manual is the culmination of our global project, On The Move, which explored migration, refugees, visas and regional youth work with members from Africa, Europe and Latin America. This resource will not only help you to explore the topic on an educational level, but motivate and inspire you to include young migrants, refugees and unaccompanied minors in your grassroots work.
Peace Education

This toolbox contains a global activity on a local level for organisations to implement in order to make it open and accessible for children and young people. This activity will give children and young people the space to think about what peace means to them, how to analyse conflict situations and understand their role as an active peacemaker.
Diversity & Inclusion

The Choosing Anti-Racism podcast aims to open a space to spark conversations about anti-racism and allyship. Our group of participants introduce two invited guests to interview them about their role in IFM-SEI and their opinions on anti-racist action.
You can download the English audio of the podcast here:

The activities included in this handbook provide you with some methods that have been shared by our own Member Organisations and IFM-SEI educational resources. We want to share the good practices that are already true cornerstones for our network. This handbook will encourage you to start or build on the gender equality work within your group, district or organisation, and we hope this will inspire your members to become self-reflected, critical feminists.

The Diversity and Inclusion Checklist has been created to identify best practices for promoting diversity and inclusion at IFM-SEI. The checklist is a simple self-assessment guide that will guide you step by step through issues linked with diversity and inclusion in youth projects and local youth work. It will provide understanding of compliance, cultural awareness, respect for differences, and coaching for positive change towards inclusive practices for all young people.

The All Together – Making Inclusion Happen handbook aims to support youth organisations in being more inclusive to young people with fewer opportunities by giving questions for reflection, training ideas and case studies with tips.

Community Building

The Volunteering Against Poverty toolkit compiles educational activities that can be used to explore and discuss questions about poverty and inequality, their causes and consequences. This publication will help you raise awareness of topics such as poverty and inequality.

This toolkit is catered towards group leaders (or helpers, as they are called in many IFM-SEI organisations) who wish to learn more about the foundations and the meaning of socialist education and would like to learn how to apply a socialist education approach in their activities with children and young people.

This publication is for everyone that is only starting the adventure of fundraising but also for experienced comrades that just need some new creative ideas for community fundraising.
Sex Education

Let's Talk About Sex ZINE brings together some of the questions, discussions and activities that emerged during the Let's Talk About Sex project in a fun, youth-friendly and interactive way. This publication was developed by our participants, our team and our experts.
